During that season, the Lord began to rewrite my heart and show me what it means to be fully immersed in Himself. He has shown me how He truly does work outside of time, redeeming moments and restoring hope. My heart, then and now, is to be so inexorably hidden in Him that all you see is radiating His glory (see Rom. 13:14 TPT).

He often reminds me that the yoke comes first, He is my true balance (see Matt. 11: 28–30; Prov. 16:11), and He is faithful to reveal Truth. It is who He is (John 14:16). He brought me back to a simple declaration from Scripture closely shared with my late sister, Katie, “Let my people go” (Exod. 5:1). Katie wanted to see her family free—the rug lifted—to uncover grace. That rug was lifted, the veil torn, at the very “moment” of His obedience:

And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split. (Matt. 27:50–51 NIV)

So follows our obedience the “moment” we look directly at His face. His glory is illuminated through what He is doing in and through us alone, not in keeping our schedule. We carry His scars in our body, our circumcized, consecrated hearts bearing evidence that we have received Grace (see Gal. 6:17 TPT). Our faith, then, serves as hope—unashamedly, unwaveringly—without cause to fear. This is a picture of Perfect Love. He is the substance of Heb. 11:1, and those scars mean He is present with us.

Pray that I would unfold and reveal fully this mystery, for that is my delightful assignment. Walk in the wisdom of God as you live before the unbelievers, and make it your duty to make him known. Let every word you speak be drenched with grace and tempered with truth and clarity. For then you will be prepared to give a respectful answer to anyone who asks about your faith. Col. 4:4–6 TPT

As a believer, our standard operating procedure is “to make him known.” As we “kick against the pricks” (Acts 26:14 KJV), striving in what seems right to us, what He has purposed in us becomes unbalanced (see Prov. 21:2). Our vision becomes unclear, blinding us to what is right in front of us. But . . .

“Once we glance back, clarity comes.”

The Holy Spirit is the best time manager. He operates with efficiency, without striving or constraint. He bridges the gaps between what is seen and unseen and provides wisdom to reflect the favor found in the right connections versus just filling a need. He was faithful to anoint Joseph and use Pharoah at the same time. We need only to look to Him.

As I sought His blueprint for OTES, I asked Him to help me maintain the integrity of the Cross and to seek the harvest in all I do, His voice in all I say (see Psa. 19:14, Luke 9:23–25).

I am not fond of limbo, but He has shown me where I have put myself in that position of uncertainty when He has called me to raise the threshold of my faith, barring the door against all hindrances from the enemy. He has taught me to be present in what He is doing in me as He sets the House Rules: He perfects the process (Psa. 138:8), His Word remains firm (Psa. 119:89), and He is faithful to complete what He has started (Phil. 1:6).
